what was that about goat cheese?

Dinner tonight was at Poppy. I had the veggie thali with the goat cheese stuffed squash blossom (pictured above), and it was amazing. There was also a little corn soup in the back there (also delicious, but not the chowder that I still want to make despite it going to be over 80 degrees for the rest of the week), and some sort of carrot dish that I enjoyed. The pickle dish was a little too spicy for me, but all in all, a really nice meal.

We also had goat cheese in our dessert thali - goat cheese pudding with mint and fresh raspberries, and a fantastic fresh mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I like going to Poppy for dinner - it's fancy enough that it feels like a treat, but fresh enough that I don't feel bad about having gone out. Plus, they have some really nice seasonal dishes so I feel like I'm taking advantage of what's in season!
