boy beanie skull cap.

It was my dad's birthday earlier this week, and earlier this year he'd asked if I'd make him a skull cap to wear this winter. Usually it takes me like a year and a half to make someone something that I agree to, but this time it was only a few months! Plus, now that it's September (gasp!) I am starting to get interested in crochet projects again since it feels like they'll be useful soon (although I am hanging on to the last bit of summer for as long as I can).

I need to emphasize that I like crocheting better than knitting simply because projects take about a quarter of the time (if not less). I have at least three knitting projects going right now (left over from last winter) that I haven't finished and probably will never finish, unless I frog them and turn them into crochet projects. This is not to say that I don't love the way that knitted projects feel and look, they just take me so dang long that the desire to finish is overcome by the desire to start something new.

That aside, here's me modeling the hat I made for my dad. Note that this hat was completed over the course of two evenings.

i made a hat!

I hope it fits him, but if it doesn't, I will have no problem making him a new one and keeping this one for myself. :D

You must have become pretty adept, to only need two evenings, but then again I'm no crochet expert
